How I Work
When it comes to editing, I use the track changes function in Microsoft Word to mark any errors or highlight any queries. This process allows you, the client, to review my amendments and accept or reject as you see fit. Although this is my preferred method of proofreading, if you would rather we worked on paper using the BSI proofreading symbols, this can be discussed as an option. At the end of each project, I will return the marked-up document for your review.
I use various reference points, my manual preferences being: The Guardian Style Guide, Collins Dictionary, and The Blue Book of Grammar. If, however, you have your own style guide, then I will work with that.
