But what is proofreading? The Cambridge Dictionary states that proofreading is: "the act of finding and correcting mistakes in copies of printed text before the final documents are printed." It is as simple as that. Whether it’s a spelling mistake or an error with your grammar or punctuation, it’s my job to find it. I will try to achieve as close to perfect as I can!

One step further than proofreading is copy editing. Copy editing focuses on all the things proofreading does but also ensures the accuracy, style and general quality of the copy is up to scratch. This process often includes significant edits to the document where larger improvements are required.
